Community Asset information session and ceilidh on 6 March
Spring into Spring the latest in the series of Croit a’ Chala ceilidhs is happening on Tuesday 6th March from 7pm.
As well as the usual mix of songs, stories and more we have three guests presenting information on Community Assets.
The speakers are:
- Claire Hannah of the Community Assets Team of Highlands & Islands Enterprise. The team are tasked with increasing the role of communities in the ownership and management of land and assets and the sustainable management of the resources for the benefit of the community. www.communityland.org.uk
- David Cameron, Chair of Community Land Scotland an organisation representing community landowners managing 500,000 acres and supporting new communities to take ownership of land.www.communitylandscotland.co.uk
- Colin Gray of the Community Assets Branch of The Scottish Government. Providing impartial advice on all aspects of Community Right to Buy as and well as a administrating the process. www.scotland.gov.uk
Following the presentations there will be the chance for questions and discussion.
