Energy consumption in rural areas

A PhD student at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow is researching energy supply and consumption in rural and remote communities. As part of the research there is a survey which examines whether people in rural and remote communities have differing attitudes towards energy and energy consumption to people living in more centralised/urban areas.

The survey is easy to understand, is web-based and takes just 5-10 minutes to complete. No personal or contact information is sought, the results are fully anonymised and the survey has been ratified by the University’s Ethics Committee. A link to the survey can be found here:

The results of the survey will go on to inform future research, and will represent an analysis of energy attitudes according to location which we believe to be unique within the UK.
