SUPPORT THE SHOP
We are asking for everyone to help keep our shop, customers and staff safe, so we ask that you are vigilant.
All of the rules attached will apply for the foreseeable future.
We are a small business that has already been majorly affected this year, without all of our usual visitors to the island.
We hope you will continue to support the shop, by using our online order form, to place your orders. Not everything is included on the form, so please just ask if you are unsure and we will let you know. Please do not phone your orders into the shop.
Equally we ask that if you are able to come to the shop, please come and shop as normal rather than placing an order. Collating, arranging and sorting orders takes up a huge amount of time for the staff.
If you would like a particularly large amount of something, please place an order so as not to clear the shelves.
SAFETY MEASURES
We are taking all possible precautions: cleaning high traffic areas regularly, consistent hand washing between tasks and social distancing. Soon there will be traffic lights at the front door so you can easily see if it is safe to enter and we are installing screens at the till area.
We now ask that face coverings are worn by all customers in the shop, as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of the virus. We have some disposable face masks available but we cannot supply them indefinitely, so please bring your own.
We will continue to review these instructions as government guidelines change.
All we ask is that you are mindful. Please think if it might be safer initially to place an order rather than to come into the shop.
DELIVERIES
Over the next few weeks, we will start to phase out deliveries and instead have a socially distanced collection service in the village hall for orders. Details to follow.
Deliveries will continue for anyone shielding or self isolating. These orders will be delivered to your door, by our volunteers, on either a Wednesday or Saturday morning.
Don’t forget to plan ahead and check the latest order deadlines. We would like to remind customers to place ONE order a week. Orders must be received by the end of each Saturday at the latest, for the next week.
Updates can be found on our website along with our order form. https://juracommunityshop.co.uk/
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and understanding.
